David Charles Schuler, age 62, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 20th, 2022. David was the beloved son of the late Alfred E. Schuler, Sr. (aka The Chief) and Andrea L. (Perreault) Schuler. David was also preceded in death by his brother, Ray of Middleboro, MA. He is survived by three brothers and seven sisters: Alfred Schuler, Jr (Connie) of Stoughton, MA, Andrea Minor (L.D.) of Ridgeland, MS, Kathy Schuler (Bob Buehler) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Richard Schuler (Pat) of Framingham, MA, Barbara Tynes (Donnie) of Madison, MS, Robert Schuler of Jackson, MS, Chris Stephenson (Jud) of Madison, MS, Terri Eckles (Richard) of Baton Rouge, LA, Joanne Shelton (Mike) of Hanceville, AL, and Karen Gentry (Rusty) of Orange Beach, AL. David was affectionately referred to as Uncle Bubba by his 16 nieces and nephews.
Having been born and raised in Stoughton, Massachusetts, David loved all Boston sports teams and was an avid Tom Brady fan. David was a 1987 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a BS degree. He was a music aficionado especially when it came to the Beatles and missed his calling by not being a DJ – instead he worked for many years at McCarty Holman and also Cardinal Health as Merchandiser. David loved his Saturday morning golf group at Live Oaks and was always entertaining his siblings with stories of his great rounds. He made international news as the Pizza Boy when he delivered over 150 pizzas to his family after a journey of over 1,500 miles from his beloved Town Spa in Stoughton, MA - and he did this multiple times! David leaves behind one of his most prized possessions – a 1971 Buick GS 455 Stage 1.
Visitation will be at Lakewood Funeral Home at 6011 Clinton Blvd in Jackson, MS on Wednesday, May 25th from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The funeral mass will be held at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Jackson on Thursday, May 26th at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carmelite Monastery, 2155 Terry Road, Jackson, MS 39204.
