Clifton was married to Tammie Bailey. To this union, four children were born. Clifton was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who gave his family unconditional love. He had worked as a truck driver and was known for his creativity in breaking horses.
Clifton was predeceased by his parents, James and L.V. Bailey; one daughter, Calisha Bailey; three brothers, Author Foote, Leo Bailey, and Theo Bailey; and one sister, Carrie Mae Pommie.
Clifton leaves loving memories to be cherished by his wife, Tammie Bailey; three children, Tamala (Derick) Daughtery, Clifton Bailey Jr., and Joshua Bailey of Canton, Mississippi; six sisters, Eunice Robison, Valerie (RL) Milsap, Diane, Sandra of Canton, Mississippi, Elizabeth (George) of Pearl MS, and Shirley of Chicago, Illinois; four brothers, Roy (Sadie) of Canton, Mississippi, James Jr. of Alabama (Karen), Kenneth (Cynthia), and Charlie (Tamika), all of Chicago, Illinois; four grandchildren, Tamyia Daughtery, Derick Daughtery Jr., Tredarian Daughtery, and Dylan Daughtery; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
