Billie "Jean" Hollingsworth

Jean R. Hollingsworth, age 86, passed away on March 10, 2017. Visitation will be held on March 18, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:30 am at Lakewood Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 am in the funeral home chapel with graveside services to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Jean was born November 20, 1930 in Mendenhall, MS to Bill and Bess Walker Rogers. She was a 1949 graduate of Central High School in Jackson. She retired as an Executive Secretary with Entergy after 34 years with MP&L and Entergy. She was a past Vice President of the Quarter Century Club and past President of the Reddy Retiree Club of Entergy. She was also a past Matron of Northwood Chapter OES and past Grand Representative to the State of Wyoming.

Mrs. Hollingsworth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 53 years, Ed Hollingsworth, infant son Ronald Edwin and brother David Lacey Rogers.

Her survivors are her most precious gifts from GOD, her daughter Denise and granddaughter, Alexandra of Terry, MS, two nephews, Brent Rogers, wife Stacey, and their daughter, Aly of Gulf Breeze, FL and Glenn Rogers of Jackson, MS and his children, Camille Moudy and Mason Rogers. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of faithful friends (you know who you are).
