Barbara is survived by her brother George Keith Carr; her daughter Georgette Turner; her daughter Babbette LaMarca and husband Darren LaMarca.
Barbara was lovingly called “Momette” by many, including her six grandchildren; Ellen LaMarca Harris and her husband Will; Emma LaMarca and Evan LaMarca; Madera Turner, Ty Turner and Davis Turner; and her great-grandsons Dakota Turner and Bryson Harris; and great-grand daughter Lena Harris.
Barbara was preceded in death by her younger brother, Air Force SMSgt Michael Eastman Carr. Barbara is also survived by her niece Kellie Carr Piet, who attended Clinton High School, and now resides in Nevada with her husband Greg.
Barbara was also preceded in death by her husband Jerrell Davis, of Clinton. Barbara was born and raised in Laurel, MS and was a proud “Laurel Tornado” Marching Band Officer at George Gardener High School. Her husband, Jerrell, was born and raised in Hazlehurst.
Barbara and Jerrell moved to Clinton, MS in the 70’s. Barbara and Jerrell loved the Lord and were members of Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton in the 80’s.
Barbara was an Employee and Administrative Assistant of Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Ins. For over 20 years.
In the last decade Barbara was a resident of The Waterford Independent Living facility in Ridgeland, MS where she met many wonderful friends.
Barbara attended Sunday worship at The Waterford and Lula Baptist Church in Flora, MS.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM in the Lakewood Chapel. Barbara will be laid to rest in Lakewood Memorial Park following the service.
