Ava “Ruth” Drake Hause was born in Clarke County on April 29, 1933 and passed away at Baptist Hospital in Jackson on January 10, 2022. Ava Ruth retired from Roses Corporation, Terry Road location as Operations Manager for 34 years. She devoted her life to her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kirby Drake and husband, Henry G. Hause; son, William F. Drake; grandson, James Richard Drake, II; parents, Lee and Ava Johnson of Lauderdale County.
She is survived by sons, Kirby D. Drake of Meridian; James R. Drake and wife, Tamaralyn of Terry; daughters, Judy L. Fuller and husband, David of Florence; Wanda S. Wasson of Canton; Carol J. Tobola and husband, LeRoy of Bayou Vista, Texas and Brenda J. Williford of Jackson; brother, Glenn Earl Johnson and wife, Joyce of Meridian; sister, Doris Evelyn Lewis and husband, Donald of Meridian; 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
Visitation is Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 1 pm to 2 pm with a funeral service to follow at Lakewood Funeral Home. Interment at Lakewood Memorial Park.
