Annette Gardner Pullen passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022. She was born in Silver City, Mississippi, on August 14, 1938. Annette was married to the love of her life, Edward Jackson “Jack” Pullen, for twenty-five years.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Annette worked as a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Baptist Hospital Jackson and at Children’s Medical Group for most of her career. In her years prior to retirement, she worked as a Nurse Coordinator in the Department of Obstetrics at University of Mississippi Medical Center. Annette loved the arts. Her favorite interests were creating works of stained glass, canvas painting, cross stitching, and crocheting. After retirement, Annette and Jack enjoyed traveling by RV across the United States. They had a special interest in visiting National Parks.
Through their travels, they visited all 50 states and over 300 national parks.
She is preceded in passing by her parents, Jefferson Davis Gardner and Gladys Gardner; her grandson, Ryan Lyle Sperandeo; and her son in law, Dr. Robert Estess.
Annette is survived by her husband, Jack Pullen; her children and stepchildren, Debbie Estess, Cindy Kendig, Mickey Walker, Shelley Riley (Lee), Sally Barnett (Bo), Leslie McCormick (Lane), Daryl Pullen, Emily May; her grandchildren, Robbie Sperandeo, Audrey Anne Estess-Dunnam (Gunnar), Samantha Eagle (Justin), Meghan Riley, Timmy Riley, Aaron Pullen (Lindsey), Jamie Barnett (Lindsay), Dylan Barnett, Jeremy McCormick, Jackson McCormick (Taylor), Jesyca Jarabica (Mason), Hannah May, Dalton May; and her great grandchildren, Brooklynn Sperandeo, Myles Lenard, Maddox Eagle , Colston Eagle, Jasper Eagle, Greyson Riley, Haven Riley, Walter Pullen, and Davis Jarabica.
Funeral services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd Jackson, Mississippi 39209, on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 2:00 PM with the visitation one hour prior. Internment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Love Always!
