Amanda "Panda" Taylor

Amanda was born in Jackson, MS to Christian Dykes and Hal Tyrone Taylor jr on December 27th 2000. She graduated from Murrah High School in 2019 and later went on to work as a security officer for Entergy at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Plant.

Outside of work, Amanda was passionate about travel, fashion, and pushing her loved ones to be their best selves. She could often be heard encouraging friends and family to reevaluate and push past their perceived limits.

Amanda is preceded in death by her grandmother Barbara Ann Johnson, her aunt Shirley Ann Lewandowski, her aunt Lynn Cotton, and her sister Angelina Amiyah Kimple. She is survived by both parents, two step-parents, her former stepmother, nine siblings, and countless close friends and extended family.

A visitation for Panda will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi 39209. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Southside Assembly of God, 665 Raymond Rd, Jackson, MS 39204.
