Of Jackson, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, September 16, 2022 at the age of 84. He is survived by his daughters, Tam (Dan) Trader and Sue Bartell; grandson, Sean (Brandi) Fowler; great-grandchildren, Bryce and Kynslee; sister, Pat Furbush; special son-in-law, Tim Fowler as well as many loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Walt was preceded in death by grandson, Brian and sister, Barbara Jean. He was born in Jackson, Michigan to Kenneth and Hulda (Budd) Bartell on August 30, 1938. He graduated from Jackson High in 1956 and proudly served in the United States Air Force. After receiving an Honorable Discharge he returned to Jackson and was employed with Clark Equipment then retired from Dart Container in Mason, Michigan after many years of service. He enjoyed participating with his great grandchildren and their sporting activities.
