Sandra Kay Whiting

Of Jackson, Michigan passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the age of 76. In addition to her parents she is preceded in her death by her late husband of 52 years, Kenneth Whiting and sister, Mary Blevins. She is survived by her daughters, Evelyn "Chrisy" Whiting and Lisa Rudloff; grandson, Brenden Rudloff; sister, Victoria Jennings. As well as many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. Sandra was one of three children born to Clara Ross in Beckley, West Virginia on March 1, 1947. After graduating college, Sandra and Ken decided to relocate to Jackson, Michigan. Sandra was a kind and compassionate person with a heart of gold, she very much enjoyed her career as an RN at Foote Hospital and retired after 40 years of service. Sandra started her career in the Emergency Room department and moved on to work in the Labor & Delivery unit. She was a wonderful mother who was always there for her daughters, whatever the situation was, she always had a solution or positive words of advice. She loved being grandma, painting on canvas, and working in her flower garden. She will be greatly missed by many. According to her wishes, cremation has been chosen and she will be laid to rest at Jones cemetery. Immediate family and friends will gather for a private farewell at a later date.
