Sallie Mae Hartman

Sallie Mae Hartman, age 74 of Jackson, Michigan passed away peacefully at home Friday, August 4, 2023 under the care of her family and Henry Ford Hospice Home. Sallie was born July 12, 1949 in Earle, Arkansas to the late Henry Lewis Brewer, Sr. and Mary Bell Bonds Brewer. On June 21, 1970 she was united in marriage to Melvin Hartman and to this union four daughters were born. Sallie is survived by her daughters, Regina Brewer, Patricia Hartman and Donna Hartman; her brothers, Henry Brewer Jr., Ray Brewer, Robert (Dee) Brewer and Bobby Brewer; her sisters, Paula (Delmos) Clark and Lin (Randy) Bitner and her grandchildren, Montaque Hartman, Taylor Hampton, Willie Charleston IV and Acaria Hill as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews along with bonus niece, Lenise Newcomb and special friends, Alice Walker, Martha Taylor and Rhonda Anderson. Sallie loved watching Westerns especially Gunsmoke, The Big Valley, Rawhide, The Rifleman and Cheyenne to name a few. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Christina, her brothers, Edward Brewer, Eddie Brewer, Larry Brewer, William Brewer, Tommy Brewer; sister, Alice Brewer and sister-in-love, Annie Jo Brewer. A Celebration of her life will be held Friday, August 18, 2023 at Higby Street Church of Christ, 706 S. Higby Street, Jackson, Michigan at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends for visitation at 11:00 am. We would like to give a special thank you to Latasha Estes, Fresenius Dialysis Center and Henry Ford Hospice Home for the care given to Sallie.
