Robert Pointer, of Jackson, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 3, 2011 in the care of his loving family. He was born April 11, 1937 in Cleveland, Mississippi, the son of Marshall Pointer and Pauline Wise-Baylor. Robert leaves to cherish his memory one sister, Evelyn P. Strickland of Dallas, Texas; six children, Raycele Thornton, Robert Pointer II, Pam Bradley, Jimikco Collins, Nikeesha Pointer and Lasandra Pointer; fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two nieces and two nephews; special niece, Brittany Bradshaw; special friend, Cheryl McMiller and a host of family and friends . Funeral service will be held at the Oasis of Love Full Gospel Church (1217 E. South St., Jackson, MI 49203) on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 12:00 Noon with Elder Corey Pryor officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery.
