Passed away under the loving care of Highland Memory Care and Comfort Care Hospice on February 23, 2020 at the age of 85. He was born in Lincolnton, North Carolina on December 2, 1934 to Percy and Mozelle Costner. He was preceded in death by his parents and in 2011 by his wife Dora Costner of Florida. Bob is survived by his daughter, Andrea Michelle Costner-Surenkamp, and five step children, Virginia Crane of Florida, John (Linda) Voorhees of Clark Lake, Jeri (Barry) Lapp of Jackson, Angelique Tunison of Florida and Mark Voorhees of Arizona as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He cherished his little companion, Chip. Bob was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean War where he served from 1952 until 1954. He was very proud that he worked for Frances Langford and Ralph Evinrude on their personal yacht, the Shantacleer. Bob was retired from Yellow Roadway Corporation. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and bird watching. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. He will be buried at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan
