Of Jackson, passed away at his home at the age of 87 on Sunday, January 3, 2021. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Carol Britten as well as his parents and sisters-in-law, Nancy Foster and Esther Russ. He is survived by special niece, Linaye Chown; brothers, Earl (Harriett) Britten, Jr. and Bill (Elaine) Britten; three brothers-in-law, Fred (Sylvia) Foster, Duane Foster, Bob Russ and many loving family members and friends. Bob was born in Grass Lake, Michigan on November 25, 1933 to Earl and Lucille (Frame) Britten and attend Grass Lake Schools. After his honorable discharge from the United States Army, he returned to Jackson and married Carol (Foster) on April 8, 1960. He retired from Eaton Corp. after many years of service. He was a collector of model Railroad trains, enjoyed woodworking and weekend traveling trips. Mr. Britten had a strong Faith in the Lord and attended Lansing Ave. Baptist Church (4000 Lansing Ave. Jackson, 49202) where a service to honor his life will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Steve Sebring officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Bob will be laid to rest beside his wife at Oakwood Cemetery in Grass lake with a private family committal service.
