Of Rives Junction passed away September 11, 2023 age 89. Rebecca was born February 25, 1934 in Jackson, Michigan to parents Irving and Bessie Porter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Waymon Harris, grandson, Michael Jr., brothers, Raymond, Leon and Creston. Survived by her children, Millie, Barbara, Thomas and Orvile (Vickie), grandchildren, Katrina, Willie, Chad, Nathan, David, Levi and Luke, Great grandchildren, Michelle, Elizabeth, Marcus Jr., Alexha, Jessica, James Junior, Catlin, Norah, Elsie, Evangeline, Owen, Augustine and Korina, great-great grandchildren, Michael and Mason, sisters, Margaret and Carol. Rebecca was a Sunday school teacher, Christian school worker, was a cashier at Wonder Bread Company and worked hard on the family farm. A memorial service will be held at Roseland Memorial Gardens Chapel, Thursday September 21, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Chris Bigg officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M until service time.
