Marion Frances McVay

Of Jackson, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019 at the age of 74 while at her home under the loving care of her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Robert F. McVay; six children, Richard (Lori) Jennings, Sue (Steve) Carpenter, Lori (Jon) Seamans, Pam (Ted) Christoff, Wayne (Sherl) McVay and Annette McVay; ten grandchildren, Nicole (Chad) Melton, Kasilyn (Jason) Carr, Brittnee (Duane) Senecal, Tyler Seamans, Brooke, Preston and Parker Christoff, Robert McVay, Heather (Joe) Fenn, Catlin (Trevor) Hood, Bonnie (Ted) Reichstetter and Rachel Welch; nineteen great grandchildren; special niece, Debbie Pickrell; siblings, Joyce Noble and Leonard Martin as well as many loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Johnny Welch and siblings, Doug, Durwood and Kenny Martin also Betty Love and Maxine Ray. Marion was born in Jackson, MI on June 28, 1945 to Francis M. and Helen Martin. She was a devoted homemaker, loving wife, mom and grandma. She had the privilege to provide childcare to all of her grandchildren including close family friends. Her family was her life. She enjoyed spending time with them, camping and raising her “Pomeranian Fur-babies”. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. A funeral service for her will be held at New Covenant Living Church (2405 W. Washington Ave. Jackson 49204) on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends for visitation at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. as well as on Friday at the Church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Mrs. McVay will be laid to rest at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
