Lou Ann Hunter

of Jackson, died in comfort on Sunday, March 19, 2023, age 88, under the care of the staff at Highland Home and Heart to Heart Hospice. Lou is survived by her sister, Erma Jean Gohlke: daughter, Tina (Bernard) Dwight; son, Justin (Dawn) Hunter; daughter-in-law, Lisa Hunter; nephew, Roger (Tonya) Dayton; granddaughters, Leigh Ann (Nathan) Pierce, Heather (James) Chamberlin, Jennifer Wilson; great niece, Sabrina Dayton; grandsons, Michael Hunter Jr., Daniel Hunter, Ronald Thornsberry, and her great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Dayton; brother, Patrick Carpenter and son, Michael Hunter Sr. Lou was born in Hillsdale, Michigan on October 3, 1934 to Oren and Dixie Russell. Per Lou's wishes, cremation will take place and no services held. Family requests no flowers, only to think of Lou the next time enjoying something sweet, particularly dark chocolate.

Lou's family would like to thank the staff of Highland Home for the exceptional care the facility provided and Heart To Heart Hospice for ensuring her comfort at the end of her life.
