Lisa Marie Shaw

Passed away on May 5th, 2022 at the age of 54 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Lisa was a caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Lisa was predeceased by her father David, mother-in-law Nancy, and sister-in-law Karen. She is survived by her husband of 30 years Bob, children Lynn (Bobbie) Miller and Ryan (Paige) Shaw, mother Arlene McCormick, brothers Jason and Jim (Kenda) McCormick, father-in-law Doug Shaw, brother-in-laws Doug (Dana), Rick (Michelle), Kenny, and Scott (Mandie), and nieces and nephews Whitney (Kent), Michael (Hannah), Matt (Caitlynn), Karl, Dobry, Diara, Sydney, and Zack. Lisa was born to Dave and Arlene McCormick in Jackson on July 23rd, 1967. Lisa attended Jackson Public Schools through high school where she met the Shaw Boys who would forever become a part of her life. After graduating from Western Michigan University she married her high school sweetheart Bob and together they built a beautiful life and family. Lisa was passionate about her work in the aerospace field as a Quality Manager for Eaton Corp for nearly 30 years where she made many lifelong friends. When she wasn’t working Lisa loved spending time with her family the most. Whether it be at the Higgins Lake cabin, in a hockey rink, or just at home around the kitchen table. Lisa was happy when her family was happy and together. Lisa’s smile and infectious laugh brightened any room, a smile and laugh that will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held Friday May 13th 2022 at 11:00 am with visitation from 10-11 am at Burden-Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home 1806 E. Michigan Ave, Jackson MI 49202. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Michigan Medicine Rogel Cancer Center.
