her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 2, 2020. Lillian was born on February 13th, 1928 in
L’Anse, Michigan to Claude and Alice McAdams. She was preceded in death by her parents
and her sisters Mary and June. Lillian attended Houghton College in New York where she met her future husband. They married and raised their children in Arizona. In her later years, she returned to Michigan to live with her family. Lillian loved music and was a gifted pianist and singer. She continued to play and sing for friends and family - she played and sang at her 90th birthday celebration. She was a long time
member of Gorham Baptist Church and later Village Hope Church where she volunteered as an
Awana leader, assisted with bible school, and sang in the choir. Lillian retired after 17 years of work from Big Lots. She enjoyed her customers and her co-workers. She also was known for her knitting skills and made many blankets, hats, scarves, and dolls for family and for others. Lillian was close to her 5 sisters. She traveled extensively with her sister June and they enjoyed visits to Germany and France. She also adventured to Alaska with her parents. Lillian is survived by her 3 children, Dr. John Gilliland (Carol) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mary Sue Watson (Joe) of Tucson, Arizona and Robyn Wellcome (Chris) of Chandler, Arizona. She also leaves 9 grandchildren, Geoffrey, Jeremy, Trevor, Joe, John, Jacob, Brytenie, Madyson, and Hunter and 6 great grandchildren, Kate, Greta, Nicole, Reagan, Shayne, and Fern. She is also
survived by 3 sisters, Gloria Ring of Holland, New York, Barbara Taylor of Jackson, Michigan
and Carol Lehman (Melvin) of Jackson, Michigan. The family will have a private graveside service on Wednesday, October 7, 2020. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
