Of Jackson, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the age of 77 while in the care of the staff at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Vivian Boobier; three children, David (Sharon) Hawk, Laurie (Rick) DePew, and Barbara Boobier; four grandchildren, Shelly Barren, Kent Page, Lynsee (Holden) Warren, and Gary Owens; five great grandchildren; as well as loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother. Leon was born to Ernest and Thelma Boobier on May 21, 1941 and attended East Jackson Schools. He spent his working career as a mechanic and retired from Jim Winter Buick after many years of service. Leon enjoyed spending time with his family riding ATV trails and playing with anything that had a motor. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and their dogs. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. According to his wishes, cremation had been selected and there are no services at this time.
