Leatrice was born on September 20, 1952 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Lawrence W. Sr. and Floyde Estes. Leatrice was called to her heavenly home on January 5, 2015.
Leatrice was educated in the Jackson Public School district. She graduated from Career Quest with a Certified Nursing Assistance certificate. She worked several jobs in the medical profession.
Leatrice loved spending time with her family and helping people. She was a member of Southside Church.
Leatrice leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Clifford Rice; her mother, Floyde Wilford; her father, Lawrence W. Estes, Sr.; four children, Anthony Estes, John Estes, Shamone Estes, La Tasha Estes; step-daughter, Tenisha Hunt; brother, Lawrence (Romana) Estes, Jr.; twenty-one grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; special cousin, Kenneth Dinwiddie; St. Louis family; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Southside Church (419 E. High Street, Jackson, MI) on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with family hour from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
