Of Jackson, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the age of 86. He will be remembered by his girlfriend, Kathy Hagen; his children, Danny (Rhonda) Shaffer, Joe (Dawn) Mueller, Kenny Mueller, Debbie Hilliker and Tammy Sweezy; seven grandchildren; brother David Mueller; sisters, Phyllis Miles and Joyce England as well as nieces, nephews, loving family members, friends and his fur babies, Sadie, Sassy and Buster. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Betts and sister Ruby. Kenny was born on April 22, 1929 in Monroe, Michigan to Clifford and Gladys (Kauth) Mueller. After graduating High School he enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served during the Korean Conflict. He then returned to Michigan and was employed as a Corrections Officer at the original State Prison, which is the old Armory building. Following his retirement, after 28 years of service, he owned and operated Kenny’s Korner Bar for many years. He was a horse owner and greatly supported the Jackson Harness Raceway. During his retirement he became an avid fisherman and hunter. Kenny enjoyed the outdoors; he was a hardworking, proud family man. He will be missed. A service honoring his life will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. He will be laid to rest with Military honors at Oakgrove Cemetery in Napoleon.
