Karen Ann Whitney

Of Jackson, MI passed away on May 4, 2023 at the age of 69. Karen was born in Jackson on December 17, 1953 to parents Roland and Lydia Bowser. She was married to her loving husband Brian Whitney for 48 years. Karen enjoyed spending time with family, planting flowers, camping and talking on the phone. Karen is survived by her husband Brian, children Lori Whitney, Chad (Jenni) Whitney, and Jason Whitney; grandchildren Ashley (Andy Thompson) Christian and Serena (Dylan) Gray; great-grandchildren Lydia, Andrew, and one on the way (Olive); siblings Tim (Lenore) Bowser and Suzan (Dan) Marcinkiewicz; in-laws Marlene (Wendall) Bonney and Gary Whitney; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Roland and Lydia Bowser and her brother Roland Bowser, Jr. A Celebration of Karen’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Ave Jackson MI) with visitation from 12:00 PM until time of service.
