Karen Elaine Tobin

Of Jackson, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023 at the age of 55. She is survived by her daughter Makenzie Tobin; grandson, Eli Utter; three sisters, Jennifer (Bill) Vaughn. Tara (Kevin) Jacobs and Manerie (Mark) Noppe as well as nieces, nephews, loving family members and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Tobin. She is the mother of the late David McCluer. Karen was born to Robert and Mary (Miller) Edington in Jackson, Michigan on October 22, 1967 and is a 1985 graduate of East Jackson High School. Karen was a hardworking family woman, she was employed at MACI for many years and was recently employed at CertainTeed. Karen enjoyed life. She loved to dance, attend concerts and “Treasure Hunting” at Thrift Stores. Her Grandson, Eli was the light of her life and she loved being his “Gamma.” She loved her K-9 companion and best friend Copper. Karen touched the hearts and lives of many. She will be greatly missed. A Celebration of her life will be held at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Ave. Jackson, 4902) on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service.
