Judith "Gramma Judy" Ann Smiley

Of Jackson, MI passed away at the age of 78 on January 9, 2020 with family by her side. Judy was born on April 25, 1941 to William and Edith (Talvensaari) Beaudoin in Pontiac, Michigan. She married the love of her life, Jerry Smiley, Sr. on January 23, 1959 in Illinois. Judy was a homemaker and a housekeeper who loved taking care of her family, cooking, and baking. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, a beloved great grandmother, and best friend to many. Judy is survived by her husband, Jerry, Sr.; her children, Mary (Kurt) Wiinamaki, Vicke (Michael) Kofflin, and Jerry, Jr. (Julie) Smiley; grandchildren, Sarah (Joe), Jake (Stephanie), Paul (Yamma), Josh (Becky), Devan (Derek), Drew (Alicia), and Seth; great-grandchildren, Penelope, Mikko, Aidan, Maddox, Jackson, Frankie, Caelum, and Eli; siblings, Marie Nurmi, Elizabeth Murgatroy, Sandi Rogina, and Michael Beaudoin; many nieces and nephews; and friends too numerous to count. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Susan and Tammy; and great-grandson, Xavier “Stormy”. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Ave., Jackson) with visitation from 12:00 PM until time of service. She will be laid to rest at Maxon Cemetery, Leoni Township, Jackson, MI.
