Judith "Judy" Helen Martin

Of Jackson, MI passed away, with family by her side, on January 4, 2020. Judy was born on December 24, 1940 in Jackson, MI to parents J.R. “Bob” and Marian Cochran. Judy was a secretary for Northwest schools for many years before retiring. Judy was the former President of the Alter Society at St. John Catholic Church, and a former President of the Jackson Women’s Golf; she was also one of the first to join Thome PACE. Judy’s hobbies included gardening, bowling, bingo, and crafts. Judy is survived by her children: Michael “Mick” (Angie) Martin, Ron (Ruth) Martin, Terri Martin, Cheryl (Romie) Holley, and Joe (Isabel) Martin; grandchildren: Jamie, Danny, Rachel, Rick, Douglas, Amy, Salina, Mitchell, and Mackenzie; fifteen great grandchildren; and brother, Ron (JoAnn) Cochran. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jeanne Peters; two nieces and four nephews. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 12:00 pm at the Michigan Center Eagles (302 5th Street Michigan Center, MI 49254) with Pastor Linda DeVore officiating. A no-host luncheon will follow the service at own expense. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Michigan Center Eagles Post #3634.


