Joseph R. Golombeski

Was suddenly called home to be with the Lord, on Monday, September 12, 2011 at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Annette (Podlo) Golombeski; children, Michael (Brandy) Golombeski, Karl “K.C.” Golombeski and Tamra Golombeski; six grandchildren, Heather (Robert) Shaw, Kristi Golombeski, Brandy Golombeski, Kevin Golombeski, Michael Golombeski and Alexis Aranda; two great grandchildren, Kelci Shaw and Ayden Young; sister, Helen Wells; brothers, Harold Golembeski and Wallace (Beverly) Golembeski; sister in-law, Lucy Golembeski as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joseph was the youngest of 13 children born to Charles and Victoria Golombeski in Wakefield, MI. After proudly serving in the United Stated Marine Corps. he settled in Jackson, where he raised his family. He retired as a teamster for Michels Pipeline Construction after many years of service. He lived an active life and enjoyed socializing with his buddies over coffee every morning at Dunkin’ Doughnuts. He touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed. A memorial Mass is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 24, 2011 at St. John’s Catholic Church with Father Andrew Dunne officiating. Cremation has been selected and interment will take place in St. John Cemetery with military honors.
