Helena Elizabeth Sparks

Of Jackson, passed away at her home, under the care of her family on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the age of 93. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband of 64 years, Ellsworth Sparks; grandson, Todd Waddell; brothers, Harold and William Hartwick and sister, Dorothy Lemley. She is survived by her five children, Jim Sparks, Diane (Randy) Haigh, Sally (Bernard) Lagow, Patricia Dunkel and Kathy Lindahl; eleven grandchildren, Michael (Mindy), Missy, Jordan, Kaleigh (Andrew), Shannon, Eric, Jason, (Kelly), Kyle (Tamika) Amanda (Jarrad), Nick (Ali) and Matt; twenty-four great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. “Betty” was born in Jackson on August 2, 1926 to Carl and Sadie (Fallon) Hartwick. She is a graduate of St. Mary’s school and was employed at Sam’s Club. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was e devote Catholic. She attended St. May’s Star of the Sea Church. She enjoyed gardening and loved her family. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. According to her wishes, cremation has been chosen and a service will be scheduled at a later date.
