Passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Claudia (Skinner) Peters; three children, Gail (David Doe) Carlson, Craig (Diane) Peters and David (Jeanne) Peters; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren and sister, Mary (Brian) Noblin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Peters; son-in-law, John Carlson and sister, Elizabeth Crosby. Gerard was born in Brooklyn, New York to Harold and Marie (Hession) Peters on December 27, 1942. He spent his career as a photographer. After retirement he came to Jackson to be with family. He enjoyed spending his time with family and babysitting great grandchildren. He was an avid Jets and Mets fan. According to his wishes, cremation has been selected and there will be no services at this time.
