Of Jackson, passed away April 2, 2015 age 88. Survived by his daughters, Patricia Robins and Janice (Randy) McMunn, five grandsons, John (Irici) Schopmeyer, Jesse (Krista) Schopmeyer, Jason (Creightyn) McMunn, Chase (Virginia) McMunn and Marshall McMunn, five great grandchildren, Mikala, Amelia and Owen Schopmeyer, Zachary and Graham McMunn, his good friend, Elaine Johnson. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary Ellen, brother, Vern Robins and sister, Louena “Missie” Birch. George worked at Sparton Electronics for many years and retired from the City of Jackson Water Department after 21 years of service. He served his country in the Army during WWII as a combat infantryman in the South Pacific. He has been cremated and at his request there will be no services.
