Fern Margaret Koch

Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on August 17, 2017 at the age of 86. Fern was born on July 23, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Carl and Cora Case. She married the love of her life Richard Koch on August 19, 1950. She was a cook by trade and cooked for 20+ years at Queens Elementary School; she also worked for Cascades Manor House for 10 years. Fern was a member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church for over 60 years and she also catered many wedding and events over the years. She was an avid gardener and reader. Fern is survived by her children, Rebecca Boyd, Lynda White, Roberta (Bill Wressel) Koch, Cindy Koch, and Donna (Dean Mroczka) Koch; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren; siblings, Harry (Doreen) Case, Mike (Jackie) Case, Mary (Jerry) Bower, and Chris (Beth) Case. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and children, Thea Cunningham, Steven Koch and Keith Koch. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
