Of Jackson departed to his new Heavenly Home Thursday December 12, 2013 age 91. He was born in Arthur, Ohio on June 9, 1922 and lived a full life and touched many hearts along the way. He was a Servant of God, Archway Cookie Distributor, special policeman, scuba diver, hunter and fisherman. He served honorably in WWII and was very proud of his service to his country and was featured in a special interview with WWII historian, Larry Martin (In Their Own Words) through the Jackson District Library. He was very much loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by his loving wife Gloria, parents John and Helen, brothers Harold and Eddie, infant brother Glen and sister Lucille. Survived by his children John (Petra) Andrews, Diana Parks, Carole (Allen) Gittere, David (Nancy) Andrews, Jim (Kathy) Andrews and Gloria (Tom) Rose and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A special thanks to all his caregivers at Allegiance Health, CareLink, Jackson County Medical Care, Tom and Gloria, Diana, Sarah and Thomas for working so hard with so much love to make him comfortable, may God bless you always. A celebration of his life will held at Apostolic Outreach Center 807 Longfellow Ave. Jackson, Tuesday December 17, 2013 at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Scott Eberle officiating. Private burial Roseland Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home Monday 6-8 P.M. and at the church Tuesday 11:00 A.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Apostolic Outreach Center.
