Elaina June Moore

Walter of Jackson, MI passed away on February 15, 2023, at the age of 76 and Elaina on March 6, 2023, at the age of 70 respectively. Walter was born in Jackson on May 9, 1946, to parents Walter Ray and Cynthia Jean (Gallup) Moore. Walter served in the US Navy from 1964-1968. He was employed at Plastigage Corporation for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and was an avid card game player, especially euchre. Elaina was born in Muncie, IN on February 16, 1953, to parents Elvin Holt and Carolyn June (Clawson) Rudolph. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and caregiver. She was employed as a daycare worker for many years. She enjoyed hosting family holidays in her home and her favorite hobby was coloring in her coloring books for relaxation. Walter and Elaina are survived by their children Walter W. (Alison) Moore, Eric J (Scott) Gilbert - Moore, and Shannon L. (Kevin) Nishioka; grandchildren Brandon M. Moore, Sydney J Nishioka, and Alexander K. Nishioka; and Elaina's sisters Debra (Bruce) Cooper and Cheryl Rudolph Webb. They are preceded in death by their parents Walter R. and Cynthia J. Moore and Elvin H. and Carolyn J. Rudolph, and Elaina's brother Steven W. Rudolph. A celebration of their lives will be held on March 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Norvell Community Baptist Church, 204 E. Commercial Dr., Norvell, MI with Ned Bernstein officiating. Visitation will be on March 25, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Norvell Community Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ann Arbor VA Hospital, 2215 Fuller Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105.
