Donald Eugene Miles

Of Vandercook, passed away at the age of 89 on Monday, December 11, 2023 while at his home under the care of Mid-Michigan Hospice and his family. He will be remembered by his beloved wife of 59 years, Judy Miles; son, Scot (Robbin) Miles and daughter, Louise (Dan) Causer; four grandchildren, Brandon Miles, Jordan Miles, David (Sabrina) Causer and Jonathan Causer; four great grandchildren, Ollyver, Aspen, Bryson and Emerson; brother, Fredrick (Marilyn) Miles as well as several nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends; special friend, Bruce Sanford who was like a brother to him. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by four siblings, Harry Miles, Jr., Barbara Raymond, Jerry Miles and Shirley McMillen. Don was born in Jackson, Michigan to Harry and Margaret (Waters) Miles on June 30, 1934. He attended Jackson Public Schools where he won awards in Swimming. After his employment with Kelsey-Hayes had ended he finished his career with Collins Bros. Floor Covering. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, playing cards and fixing things. A Funeral Service will be held at Burden & Patience Montgomery Funeral Home on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
