Dolores Maxine Anderson

Of Jackson, Michigan joined her husband, Wilbert Anderson in Heaven at the age of 73 on Thursday, December 5, 2024 while at her home with family by her side. Dolores was born in Arkansas on February 26, 1951 to the late, William and Pal Lee Tucker and was raised in Jackson, Michigan. After graduating from Parkside High School she moved to New York where she met Wilbert Anderson at the Lord’s House of Praise. Dolores and Wilbert were married on July 31, 1975 and together they raised their family. They returned to Jackson with their children. She will be remembered by her five children, Deborah Cross, Wilbert, Jr. (Katie) Anderson, Ki Shon Anderson-Carlton, Jermaine Anderson and Antawanai (Will) Journey; 14 grandchildren; two great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; sister Betty Morris; brother, Melvin Lindsey and son-in-law, Omar Journey. She had a strong Faith and hosted Bible Study in her home. She enjoyed playing music and singing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

A Home going Service will be held at Burden & Patience-Montgomery (1806 E. Michigan Ave. Jackson, Michigan 49202) on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. With a Family Hour from 12:00 until 1:00 P.M. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday evening from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Woodland Cemetery.
