David John Cunningham

David “Dave” Cunningham, 73, of Munith, MI died peacefully on Monday, June 5, 2023 with his daughter by his side. Dave was born January 30, 1950 to Clyde and Anna (Dziura) Cunningham. Dave grew up in Frogtown where he lived for 62 years. His favorite memories were spending time with his maternal grandparents, swimming in the Grand River with his lifelong friends, and spending time on his paternal grandparents farm. Dave attended Jackson High School. After high school he enlisted in the U.S Army serving in the Vietnam War artillery and aviation units. After the war Dave worked for 35 years at Heat Controller Industries in the shipping and receiving department until an injury forced him into retirement.

Dave enjoyed being a “Grumpy” Grandpa to his grandchildren; riding motorcycles, tinkering in his garage, fishing and growing vegetables for his neighbors, friends, and family. Dave was preceded in death by his parents Clyde Cunningham and Anna Grzesikowki. Dave is survived by his daughter Tanya-Ann Reardon (Derek) and 5 grandchildren Legion Wingart, Ryder Wingart, Haleigh Reardon, Alexis Reardon, and Aubrey Reardon. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. A service to honor his life and his Military Service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 11:30A.M. The family will receive friends at 11:00, just prior to the services.
