Age 98, was born on November 18, 1913 in Paris, TN to Lonnie and Alma Williams and passed away on November 23, 2011. He retired from Good Year Tire and Rubber Company, after 36 years of service. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Oneta B. Williams; daughters, Vernell and Imogene; parents; sister, Annie Pryor; brother, Chester Williams. Charles is survived by: his 6 children, Vivian Thornton, Mabel Thornton, Wilbert Williams, Charles Williams, Harold (Rosemary) Williams, and Sandra (Chet) Doles; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; brother, Ulysses (Lillian) Kinnel; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Funeral service will be held at Faith Temple Word of Faith Ministries (1020 N. Blackstone St., Jackson) on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 at 11:00 am. Family hour 10:00 am until time of service. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 from 2 to 8 pm. Burial Woodland Cemetery.
