Of Jackson, passed away March 24, 2011 age 79. Survived by his wife of 60 years Ruth; three children, Brenda Abbey, Charles Meeker Jr., and Terry Meeker; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one sister, Joyce Allen. He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps as a Captain, serving in Korea and two tours of duty in Vietnam and also retired from Kelsey-Hayes. He was a life-long member of the N.R.A. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Monday, 1:00 p.m. Burial Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m.
