Caleb was born October 2, 1981 in Adrian, Michigan. Caleb graduated in 1999 from Northwest High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force the same year and attended technical training as a vehicle operator/dispatcher apprentice at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He was then assigned to the 7th transportation squadron at Dyess AFB, TX in January 2001, where he worked as a dayshift dispatcher. The next stop on his journey took him to Kadena AFB, Japan, in January 2005, where he labored as the vehicle control noncommissioned officer in charge. Msgt Bennett proceeded to his final base at MacDill AFB, FL where he excelled in several positions to include, Dayshift dispatcher, noncommissioned officer in charge, vehicle operations control center, noncommissioned officer in charge administration section, vehicle operations supervisor, and quality assurance evaluator. During his tenure, Msgt Bennett was promoted to below-the-zone, awarded the John Levitow Award during Airman Leadership school, and received the Air Force & Army Commendation medals. Caleb passed away June 16, 2013 at age 31. Survived by his wife Jessica, 2 daughters, Taylor Bennett and Haley Randolph, step son Mason, his mother, Sharanne Bennett, 2 brothers, Aaron Bennett and Scott Bennett, sister, Tiffany (Steven) Heuer, grandparents, Dale and Elaine Buehrer. Preceded in death by his father, SFC Tracy Bennett, 1 brother, Chad Bennett, grandparents, Robert and Natalie Scott.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church 122 W. Wesley St. Jackson, Wednesday June 26, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation Wednesday 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church. Burial Ft. Custer National Cemetery Wednesday 2:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or Trinity Lutheran School.
