Months later I was just made aware of such a great loss.  I have never met such a dedicated and caring man who passionately loved his devotion to helping others. When I first met Mr. Krech my son was 12 years old and now 21 years old. I was told at the time my son had a learning disability and Mr. Krech took the time to retest him and took time to truly decide if he indeed had a learning disability, thanks to Mr. Krech we learned he did not. Mr. Krech however continued to be there for my son if he needed to talk or really needed anything, he even visited with us a numerous of times at our home. Through the years he continued to check up on my son and our family. I’m not sure I will ever meet such a genuine and caring person,  if the world were only filled with people as him it would be a better place. 

Words can not describe how amazing this man was. He helped a few of my boys through those tough middle school years. And once they moved on to high school he would still call what seemed to be atleast once a month to check on them and talk with them. He showed up to school events to cheer on kids, support kids. His love was truly genuine. He poured his life into his work. He would drop anything for any of his students. Literally the best CSMS has ever had in my opinion. I also had the privilege of working with him when I  was subbing. All it took was a phone call and he was there for any kid. Not only getting to the bottom of things, but resolving things by spending time with students, teaching them and believing in them. William you were amazing and this news brings me much sadness. You Sir were an amazing man with the most amazing heart. I must have told you a million times thank you and it was still never enough. This world as well as schools need more people just like you! U will be truly missed. To his family,  I'm sorry for your loss. 

I was sad to hear of Mr. Krech's passing. He was a huge help to my son, Nevin, while he was a student at Carolina Springs Middle School. He want above and beyond for my son and myself. He was always there to listen and to help.  We were better for having Mr. Krech a part of our lives. Thank you Mr Krech for everything you did for us. May you RIP sir.

My dear sweet friend. I only just found out you were gone. I have tried to find you since you departed the school.  This is not how I wanted to find you my friend.   You were there for me.for 9 years of middle school . 3 kids. You helped me tell my kids their grandma passed away. You helped me teach my son stuff about growing into a man. You helped me help my kids thru their father's suicide.  You were the only one I could talk to about my own abuse.  Your door was open every day.  Time and time again I would plop down in the chair crying and you were always there.....  being a friend, a cheerleader, a helper.  We met bc of Ieps.  We became friends bc of your heart. You came to dr appts and helped me get my kids meds fixed. You always told us you loved us, the kids were good kids, and no matter how much I felt I was failing as mom that I was doing a great job.  You gave me hope the hard days would get easier. That all my kids disabilities didnt make them disabled. You helped me and the kids thru tears.  I wish you were here to help me with the ones falling from  my face. You being at the kids baptisms meant so much. You supporting me thru funerals helped me so much.  I wish I could have found you sooner and been there for you. You helped me survive middle school.  We love you.  My whole family does.  I wish you were here now.  Just to see your smiling face again.  All the support..... popcorn sales, girlscout cookies, parking lot meetings, phone calls, and text.  You will always be important to us. We missed you before and we will miss you even more knowing we will never see you again.  Rest easy my sweet friend.  Until we meet again.  I know noone will ever fill your space here on Earth. 

We, here on Earth, have lost an incredible angel that Heaven has gained! William  and I worked together at Lexington Middle and then again at Gilbert Middle. He poured his heart and soul into the kids and teachers he worked with to help make their lives better. He worked by my side meticulously to help the disadvantaged/underprivileged students in my at risk class at LMS succeed at all costs, and they did! He helped me when I needed problems solved with my own young daughter when no one else had any solutions to offer! He was the best at what he did and I turned to him numerous times when I was in times of need! He was always only a phone call away. He will be missed more than I can ever explain! The respect I have for him and the commendable job he did on a daily basis for the kids at his school can’t be explained, but could definitely be felt. He was an incredible soul that I will remember forever! Prayers for strength, peace, and comfort for his family! 

Willliam was kind and considerate.  He was an exceptional school psychologist.  He did more than test students.  He truly cared about them.  I grieve the loss of such a gentle soul.

Only recently we were honored to meet Ruth & Alan.  We were impressed, so much so there was a need to rib Al as to the uncertainty of their being derived from his loins.  If I may, I'd like to quote bits from other messages of comfort in that for us who had never met William, they paint a picture as to his character:  "kind-hearted, dry sense of humor, worked tirelessly, dedication to doing his best, humble, always helping and serving others."  But my favorite, "visited Gran", shows so much in having been "respectful and showing of appreciation".  Aw shucks, I do see the family resemblance.       

I am heartbroken to hear of William’s passing.  I worked with him years ago.  He was so kind-hearted and did so much to help students in need.  I really enjoyed working with William and will miss his smile each time I saw him.  Sending God’s love and peace to friends and family now and in the days ahead.

I knew William from high school. When I was submitting a "large scale" composition for a national competition, I had no idea how to write percussion or compose for it. He listened to my piece and wrote a percussion part that fit the music and was playable. I will never forget that kindness--that took time that he could have spent doing something else. I am so saddened by his sudden and early departure from us.

Praying for comfort and strength for William's family and friends. May you feel God's presence during this time and in the days ahead.

Lou, Al, Ruth, John, Alan & Janet,  My heart aches for you all and for William.  The obituary you wrote was beautiful.  My memories of William always make me smile.  He was the cool older cousin whose dry sense of humor always cracked me up.  I remember we used to make forts in the trees/shrubs behind Gran's house in Winnsboro.  And he was always helping and serving others.  After holiday dinners, he would be the first in the kitchen to start washing dishes.  He made us feel lazy!  ("Darn it, if William is already in there we really should be too!")  I also remember how he would spend his time visiting Gran and the folks at Presbyterian Home.  They loved his company and visits.  I wish there was something I could say or do to make it better.   Just know I love you all.

I can't adaquately express how much I respected and appreciated William, both professionally and as a friend.  He worked tirelessly while at GMS to help both students  and teachers, and was readily (and humbly) available to anyone who needed his help. I am so saddened to hear of his passing.  Such a loss of a wonderful person.  My heartfelt condolences to his family.

William was a very caring counselor-psychologist to all of our kids at GMS during the years we worked together.  He counseled my son as well, who looked up to him.  William always gave his job 110% and expected the same of others.  He will be missed.  Prayers for all of his family and friends!
