Graveside service for William Donald “Don” Cunningham, 70, will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo is assisting the family.
Don passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 and was greeted at The Rainbow Bridge by his precious fur babies, Muffin, Megan, and Bailey. Born in Ft. Benning, GA, he was the only child of the late Maj. William Andrew Cunningham and Irene Barker Cunningham. Don proudly served in the United States Army. He was an avid Gamecock fan, enjoyed NASCAR racing, and was an automobile fancier. Following his retirement from Cooper Power Tools, Don continued working with Time Warner Cable, and enjoyed volunteering his time with Harvest Hope Food Bank.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra L. Miller; daughter, Michelle Cunningham McDonnell (Rick); son, William Donald “DJ” Cunningham, II (Crystal); step-daughter, Lori Ann Lyon (Jim); step-sons, Todd A. Miller (Marci) and Randy A. Miller. He is also survived by loving grandchildren, Trista, Patrick, Austin, Caroline, Charlotte, Ashley, Ally, Taylor, Sydney, Rachel, Kayla, Brittany; and his most cherished fur baby, Lil Smidgen.
