Virginia Parrott

Virginia Parrott, 89, went to her eternal home in Heaven on Saturday, January 20, in Irmo, South Carolina. She was born to Henry and Jennie Lou Crawford in Saluda County, South Carolina on the 5th of August, 1934.

Virginia was an English teacher in Lexington Richland School District Five and an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Carolina. She was a proud member of MENSA and First Baptist Church of Irmo. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Newton A. Parrot whom she was happily married to for over 57 years.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons; Robert Neal Parrott and William Crawford Parrott; grandchildren, Tyler Parrot, Nicholas Parrott, and Alyssa Parrott; and a great grandson, Ryan Parrott.

A visitation for Virginia will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist of Irmo, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
