2 Corinthians 5:8
Vikki Lanier Coleman was born on June 28, 1968 in Irmo, SC. On August 28, 2023, she bid farewell to her family and friends.
Vikki graduated from Irmo High School and attended Columbia Junior College. She was a dedicated employee at Publix Supermarket for the last 9 years, where she received the Employee of the Month on a few occasions. She also worked 3 years part time at Belk at Columbiana Mall.
Vikki loved her family, friends, and children. She had a sharp tongue, but a generous heart and was always willing to help anyone she could during their time of need, whether it was opening up her home or her purse. She had a funny sense of humor and was a fun person to be around. She enjoyed traveling, eating out at different restaurants (to try their steaks, pancakes, hamburgers or pasta – her favorites), and staying at home to watch movies or playing board games. She accepted Christ in her youth at Pleasant Springs AME Church where she served on the Usher Board.
Vikki was preceded in death by her father, Ernest L. Pollock and stepfather, Joseph P. Harden. She leaves to cherish her memories a mother, Willie Lee Harden, a son Dustin O. Coleman and a daughter Brooke C. Coleman, a brother Dartanion P. Harden, a sister Donna L. Coleman-Bethel (Michael), and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
We the family of the late Vikki Lanier Coleman are grateful to each of you who rendered a prayer, spoke words of comfort, brought food to nourish our bodies, sent floral tributes, and sympathy cards, and all who shared in our time of bereavement. We appreciate your continued prayers and pray that you keep Vikki and our family in our hearts.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.dunbarfuneralhomedutchfork.com for the Coleman family.
