Timothy Wayne Gibson Sr.

A visitation for Timothy Wayne Gibson, Sr., 45, will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Bethany Methodist Church, Saluda.

Timothy passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 while overseeing work in Columbia with the South Carolina Department of Transportation. Born in Newberry, he was a son of David Gibson, Sr. and Joanne Cromer. He was a graduate of Newberry High School. Timothy was an employee of the SCDOT since 2013. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Timothy was a beloved, son, husband, father, brother and friend and will be greatly missed.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Allison Walker Gibson; son, Timothy Wayne Gibson, Jr.; daughters, Kimberly Gibson, Rachael Clark; brother, David Gibson, Jr; sister, Christine Gibson; step-mother, Josie “Daisy” Gibson; step-brothers, Zoren Legaspi and Elmer Legaspi.

In lieu of flowers, offerings or other donations, the family is requesting memorials, in Timothy Wayne Gibson, Sr.’s memory, (father of Rachael Morgan Clark, Wish Recipient, 2015) be made to the Make A Wish Foundation of South Carolina, 225 Pleasantburg Drive, St. B8, Greenville, SC 29607 or www.sc.wish.org.
