Taylor Ammons, age 36, from Chapin, South Carolina passed from this life on January 26, 2025. He is survived by his parents, Wayne and Bonnie Ammons, brother Brian (Jennifer) Ammons, and their children Emerson, Luca and Ellie, as well as cousins Wade (Allison) Wilson, their children Jackson and Andrew, and Tiffany Wilson and her children Kensley and Jaxx. He held a special place in his heart for his “MaMaw” and the feeling was mutual.
Taylor had two beloved dogs, Murray and Cooper, that he adored. He had such a good heart, and he knew love. He was sentimental and enjoyed participating in traditions. He was observant and compassionate of others and often reserved in expressing feelings. He had a cute laugh and enjoyed sharing a laugh with others. He was loyal, determined often strong-willed and talented at whatever he set his mind to. He could build things, he could fix things, and he could supersize things to make them bigger and better. He liked to figure things out.
Taylor was an avid Gamecocks fan as a 2010 graduate of the University of South Carolina. He never - ever - wore orange, even though he came from a divided household. He put his college degree to work as a Geographic Information Specialist for the US Department of Agriculture, Natural Resource Conservation Service for over 10 years and as a consultant.
Today, we celebrate Taylor with love. Our hearts are full of appreciation for all those who helped him and loved him along the way. We are comforted and assured knowing that he rests in peace.
Prayer for Today
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope; where there is sadness, joy.
My God, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;
to be understood as to understand; to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive, it is pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
A visitation will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Lake Murray Presbyterian Church, 2721 Dutch Fork Rd, Chapin, South Carolina 29036, with a Celebration of Taylor's Life to follow at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a contribution to the Humane Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 405 Greenlawn Drive, Columbia, SC 29209 or humanesc.org
