Sharon Ridgeway Hixson

A memorial service for Sharon Ridgeway Hixson, 70, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2022 in Chapin United Methodist Church Fusion Center. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Mrs. Hixson passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022. Born on August 29, 1951, she was the wife of Henry L. Hixson and a daughter of Reuben F. and Bruce K. Ridgeway. She graduated from Columbia High School. Sharon worked with Southern Bell and the R. L. Bryan Company where she met her loving husband, Henry. She loved being a wife and mother while touching the lives of many. She also enjoyed spending time on Edisto Island with family, friends and loved being a “Memaw”.

Blessed by relationships formed at Chapin United Methodist Church, she will always be remembered by her kind and gentle way with others and appreciated the prayers and kindness shown by so many.

In addition to her husband, surviving are her children, Cody Douglas (Sommer) and Brandon Christian Hixson; grandchildren, Drew Hixson, Thomas Hixson, Tyler Hixson, and Luke Higginbotham; and one sister, Julie Blanchette (Jim).
