IRMO - Raymond Joseph Albrecht, 73, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, September 30, 2022. Born April 6, 1949 in Chicago, IL, he was a son of the late Joseph Albrecht and the late Marge McKinney Albrecht. A visitation for Mr. Ray and his wife will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022, from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, 7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, Sc.
Ray was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a prostate cancer survivor. Ray is most known for his entrepreneurship of Colony Station Auto Repair and Ray’s Automotive.
Surviving are his children, Carol Albrecht Outlaw, St. Matthews, SC, Margaret Albrecht (Jay McCartha), Chapin, SC, Rebecca Albrecht, Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Megan Yoder (Ross), Jessica Gable (Russell), Cadence, Stephen; great-grandson, Rette.
He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Virginia Michalko Albrecht, September 24, 1947-January 14, 2021, and both his parents.
