Randi was raised in the Champaign and Carbondale, Illinois area. She graduated from Carbondale Community High school in Carbondale, Illinois. She later moved to Key West, Florida where she served on Captain Tonys initial mayoral campaign, winning by a single digit vote count. She moved to Columbia, South Carolina in 1996 where she married Daniel Sullivan (Sully) and established a home. Randi worked in the Hotel and tourism industry and excelled and advanced with hard work, a winning smile, and her glowing helpful nature. She started with the Raddison Hotels, then Sales Manager at Double tree, then Area Sales Manager at the Springhill Marriott, and then Membership development for the South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association. Randi was also one of the founding members of the Palladium Society with the Columbia Historic Foundation. She was awarded the SCSAE Associate of the Year 2009, Partner of the Year of Capitol City Lake Murray Country Tourism for 2013 and Lodging Manager of the Year by SCRLA 2014. She found her, "Best Job Ever!" when she came to Dupree Catering in 2023. She served on the Lexington County Tax Accommodations Board and as member of the Columbia and Irmo Chambers of Commerce.
Randi had a full life exuding only love and joy wherever she went. She would always be excited to see the first hummingbird of the year and whenever her flowers would bloom. She was a magnet to everyone she came in contact with. She traveled extensively for work and pleasure and was always going to enjoy it. She was always excited for the next adventure weather it was a luxury cruise or a trip to the California coast in a VW bus. Randi was a great fan of live music and would be willing to go to a huge stadium or a local tavern for a good show. She had the deepest of friendships with so many of her girls. She would always support and listen to them as they would her. She loved spending time with her family and was always ready for a late-night card game. She was a truly beautiful shining light to all who knew her.
Randi is survived by her sister, Wendi Cotter (Kevin Cotter), her brother, Scott Klitzing, her two nephews, Sean Cotter and Hayden Cotter, and her loving partner Parrish Ward. She is also survived by her first husband, Ralph Delby. She is predeceased by her parents and Daniel Sullivan (Sully).
