Peggy Anne Davis

IRMO - Peggy Anne Davis, 71, died Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Pruitt Health. Born November 22, 1949 to the late Milford F. and Margaret Ellen (Hole) Elmore in Dayton, Ohio, Peggy graduated from Miami Valley School of Nursing in 1970. She was a nurse for 42 years and retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Columbia in 2012. After retirement, she took great pride in helping take care of her three precious grandchildren. Peggy went to every baseball game, school production, and dance competition the kids had. She loved being with her grandkids each and every day.

Peggy was known for her infectious laugh and servant heart. Peggy was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist church where she served on the medical team and in the children’s ministry.

Surviving is her husband of 48 years, Carter; a son, Curt Alan of Columbia; and a daughter, Amy Marie Davis Wilson (Glenn) of Irmo; three precious grandchildren, Austin Jacob McDaniel (Sara), Courtney ‘Madie’ Wilson, and Rachel Marie Wilson; and one great-grandchild, Riley Cobain McDaniel.

The family would like to thank all of the workers at Pruitt Health nursing home in Columbia and Pruitt Health Hospice for all of the care and compassion shown to Mrs. Davis.
