Maxwell Joseph Lampl

LEXINGTON - A funeral service for Maxwell Joseph “Max” Lampl, 23, will be held at noon on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Union United Methodist Church in Irmo, with burial in West End Cemetery, St. Matthews. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel in Irmo.

Max died on Friday, December 10, 2021. He was the son of George W. Lampl, III and Patricia Hames Lampl of Lexington. Max attended the Cardinal Newman School and was a graduate of River Bluff High School and the University of South Carolina.

Max is survived by his parents; sister, Margaret A. Lampl; maternal grandparents, Herbert J. Hames and Llewellyn Hiott Hames of Chapin; aunts, Annette Nash, Jennifer Wornat, and Tamela Hames; uncles, Herbert J. Hames, Jr., Richard Wornat, and Kenneth Nash; first cousins, Hiott Hames, Kael Wornat, Jacob Hames, Wesley Hames, and Jonathan Nash; and countless other relatives and dear friends whom he loved. Max’s paternal grandparents, George W. Lampl, Jr. and Kathleen Schelhammer predeceased him.

Memorials may be made to the Cardinal Newman School baseball program.
