COLUMBIA A funeral service for Mary Rampey Shaw, 83, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Centennial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, with burial in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 until 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, is assisting the family. Mrs. Shaw died Friday, May 22, 2015. Born in Due West, S.C., she was the daughter of the late David Leon and Drucilla Hadden Nickles Rampey. She graduated from Due West High School and attended Draughon’s Business College. She retired as a secretary with the S.C. Department of Mental Health. She was a former member of Due West A.R.P. and a longtime member of Centennial A.R.P. Church, where in earlier years she served as church secretary and a member of the choir. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and John McNinch of Columbia; son and daughter-in-law, David and Angie Shaw of Columbia; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, James Alvin Shaw. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff of Palmetto Health Richland Hospital and the Palliative care team who worked so closely with Mrs. Shaw and her family.
